How To Change The Default Browser Page...

When you launch your browser, does it always go straight to MSNBC, to Yahoo or to your ISP website?

You can make it open on a blank page instead. Or just change the default entirely. You can open to a new page, a page that you built perhaps or your network company's page. It can be set to any URL.

Here's how...

Right click on the [IE Logo] and click on [Properties].

The first item is the Home Page section, and it says "You can change which page to use for your Home Page." The address bar will have a URL (address) listed. Three buttons help you make a choice: Current, Default, and Blank. Or click at the end or the URL address, hold down the keyboard backspace Key, then type any URL in the vacant address space.

* The 'Current' button makes whatever page is in your browser at the moment the new home page. It's the current page. Click to "make it so."

* The 'Default' button will most likely make Microsoft's MSN network the default page.

* The 'Blank' button will make a blank page all you'll see.

Once you've made your changes click on Apply then on OK. now when you launch the browser you have the particular page you want to appear.

Here is another tip that will save you a couple of clicks and some loading time. You can launch your IE Browser and a favorite web page at the same time from your desktop.

Open any webpage. left click on the [icon] in the address bar and drag it to your desktop. It should automatically paste a short cut there. You can also right click on the [Icon], drag it to the desktop. release the mouse key and a menu will appear, asking you if you want to create a short cut here. Click on it or type S.

Now you wont need to open IE, wait for it to load, then click on the favorites menu, click on your selected webpage and wait for it to load. Simply one click on the short cut you created on your desktop will do all that for you.
