Classic Macaroni & Cheese
FOR A QUICK AND EASY MAIN DISH: Stir 1 cup cubed ham, chopped cooked
chicken, or bratwurts, just before serving; heat thoroughly.
Ingredients:
2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
1 pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Cheddar,
CLASSIC MELTS Four Cheese (Shredded )
3/4 cup milk
COOK macaroni as directed on package; drain. Set aside.
ADD cheese and milk to saucepan. Cook on low heat about 5 minutes or
until cheese is melted, stirring frequently. Add macaroni to
saucepan; stir until well coated. Let stand 5 minutes for
sauce to thicken.
VARIATIONS: For a thicker cheese sauce, prepare as directed. Stir one
tablespoon flour into cheese and milk mixture.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes, plus standing.
Serve with a salad - makes a delicious, quick meal!
