Nita's Refrigerator Rolls

Mix together

2 Cups luke warm water
1/2 Cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt ( I don't used this much)
Crumble with mixture....2 cakes yeast or 2 pkg. dry gran. yeast.
Stir until yeast is dissolved.
Stir in 1 egg ...add 1/4 Cup soft shortening.
Mix in with spoon or hand:
6 1/2 - 7 Cups flour - Amount needed to make it easy to handle. Round up dough - kneading a little - Place in greased bowl. Rub surface with soft short. Cover tighly with waxed paper or refrigerate - When dough rises, pinch it down occasionally. When rolls are desired - remove from refrig. cut off amount needed and put remaining dough in refrig. Shape into rolls as desired. Cover rolls while rising - Bake 12-15 min. 400 degrees - Make 3 1/2 dozen.
