Fraudulent emails - stealing your account numbers

SunTrust and non-SunTrust clients are receiving these emails. SunTrust does not verify or update confidential customer information through email. Fraudulent emails often attempt to obtain personal or account information such as your credit/debit card number, account password, ATM PIN, Social Security Number, mother's maiden name, or other sensitive information. The email may include a link to a Web page asking you to update or verify your account information. These fraudulent emails and Web pages will often look like legitimate SunTrust communications. You should never respond to these emails or click on the links in these emails. By clicking on the links in the emails or including personal or account information in the email, money from your accounts can be withdrawn. If you suspect you have entered personal or account information in response to a fraudulent email or Web page, please contact your financial institution.
